Bike and the phone

Thanks to everyone for the concern! :)

Good things happen in life.

So bad gear box. But now it's become quite stiffer. I'm not liking it a bit. And the fuel indicator. It's decided it has had enough and ceased working. And the tachometer. I seriously doubt its showing faulty readings. My bike can't be running so fast at 5000rpm! I know how the engine sounds, there is definitely something wrong with the tacho.

Did you think the bad news is also over? No! There is something worse than the above. My phone is dead. It got soaked to the core and breathed its last during my escape from the flat. I've lost almost all the numbers that I'd stored in it. Well, almost all, because I'd noted down most of the important numbers in a book the previous week. No, I'm not saying I was being clairvoyant and all that, I was planning to discard that phone anyway. Now I'm planning to buy a good Nokia model.

Good, and bad!

Well, the Pulsar's gearbox can only get better. Mine shifts only when it feels like, no matter what I wantit to do... But over these period, we've fallen into some sort of an understanding, i just tap her gently as the revs are just about to die, and she's so happy falling effortlessly and, more important, without that heart-breaking 'THUNK'! But if I give her to other riders, I hate sitting pillion, the kind of noise from the box could give some of the old 60's KSRTC leyland buses a run for their money!

It must have been emotionally a very moving experience..the range and depth of feelings associated with that small little white piece of equipment is simply too much to forget so easily. As for the bike, it sounds good at the surface of it..lets just hope there are no lurking demons inside:)

#Strokes: The 'tap-when-revvs-are-down' technique works only on less crowded roads and highways and it works perfectly there. But Bangalore being the place it is, I'm having a tough time playing with the shifter :(

#Mowgz: Planning to buy a 6030. But the black color seems to be out of stock everywhere. Who'd buy a silver colored one? Not me! I'd better not have a mobile at all.

#bcs: I had started hating that phone. So much that I would've thrown it away anyway. Good riddance!

I bought a Nokia 6030. Pretty good phone at a decent price.

#Vinodh: I guess it costs somewhere in the range of 14-15K in India. Planning to get one? I'd say there is a better option: Samsung E-730. It has almost all features that you can think of, plus a 1.3Mpix camera. It is a clamshell type one. Very good looking too. Or else, go for a Nokia N series one.

I bought a phone recently anyway. And I liked it. Nokia 6030. Has all the stuff that I need. Gotta buy a data cable too, now.

nokia sux.
samsung rox.
i wuz surprised to hear u reco. one to vinodh. :) it just takes getting used to. n' their designs are way better than nokia's- as i said that day, nokias are increasingly beginning to look like pencil boxes. ppl are so gullible.. n' lazy strokes prolly has a p180- its got the worst gearbox in the world. DTS-i has ok stuff n' the newest is just wow in all respects. low-revving bike that. like unicorn.

#Kuts:I like the higher-end Samsung ones. So no surprise in my reco 1. :) Their user interface is way better than the normal C-series ones. The C-series sucks!
After all the floods and everything, the low-end torque's become a lot better in my bike. May be the service effect.
